Kitchen Fun!

Anytime X sees me go into the kitchen he'll drop whatever he's doing and RACE over to come with me. Probably because the only time he's allowed to go in is when I'm in there. Anyways he loves to go in there and pull all the food out of the cupboard or "help" me load and unload the dishwasher.

On this particular day I was finishing loading the dishwasher before I started on dinner. Since I'd been in there in a while and wouldn't let X play with any of the "fun" stuff (you know dish soap, stove cleaner, ant killer) he had left the kitchen to play with his toys. I started hearing this odd barking noise but it didn't sound like a real dog more like a kid pretending to be one. I went out to the front room where Matt and X were and asked if X was barking. Matt gave me a funny look, but has been with me long enough to know I often ask odd things and sometimes it's better not to know why and just said no.

I went back into the kitchen and kept hearing it. I thought maybe it was a kid outside...except there wasn't anyone out there. I started to think I was going crazy until I reached into the cupboard and found this....


For those of you who don't know this is Scout. He is one of Xavier's favorite toys. In addition to saying things like X's name, favorite food, color and animal, he also barks to get X's attention if it has been too long since X has played with Scout. Oh and don't worry, I do have actual food in my home...that's just Matt...I mean the junk food shelf.

This is also a common sight in the kitchen....

X likes to study himself in the door of the oven....

and then give himself kisses.
