Introducing Raph

We've officially became a family of four. Yes I am one of those people who considers their dog(s) as family. My mom had the amazing idea of getting X a puppy for his birthday. Matt and I had been talking about getting a puppy for a while so it was perfect timing. We adopted Raphael or Raph as we call him, from the humane society on Saturday. We gave him to X Sunday afternoon to give Raph a few days to recover from his neutering on Thursday.

On Saturday after we picked Raph up, my mom and I went to Wal Mart and took X because I hadn't seen him all day. We got all that we'd need for Raph besides the doggy door since Wal Mart doesn't have them in store here in town. It was on the way to the store that we asked X what he would name a pet if he had one. At first he said Spiderman, which we kinda vetoed. Then he said Raphael like the red ninja turtle. But we'll call him Raph because that's what the Ninja Turtles call him.

It was really cute on Sunday before my mom brought Raph over because I went to get the doggy door. X noticed and asked why we were getting a door for dogs. I said it was for grandmom but what if we put a doggy door in. Xavier's response was that's silly mom, we don't have a dog. He's too smart :)

Xavier was so shocked when my mom brought Raph over. He just kept smiling and staring. X didn't believe Raph was really his. They've gotten along great so far. X loves to wake up in the morning and get Raph out of his Kennel. Xavier loves to run with him and I think Raph misses X when I get him out for a few hours at night because he cries and walks around.

Matt likes Raph too, even though he won't always admit it. He plays with him and cares about him. I really think we found the perfect puppy with Raph. Now onto the pictures.
