Pumpkins, Pumpkins!

I love Halloween! I don't know why, maybe because it seems to mark the start of the holiday season. Maybe it's the fact that I can dress up, be silly and it's OK for the day. Maybe it's because there will be a Ghost Hunters marathon hosted by Josh Gates ending in GH Live. Ehm, anyways I love Halloween. And I was so excited this year because X is here and I'd get to introduce Halloween to him. Last year we had just found out we were having a boy. So for Halloween I just kept thinking of how fun this year would be with our little guy crawling around. Reality is so much better than anything I imagined.
We went and picked up our pumpkins Saturday night. Xav was sitting in the cart and I gave him five pumpkins to choose from. He stared long and hard and finally put his chubby little hand on one in the middle. He smiled and put it in his lap. I asked him if he was sure that was the one he wanted and he studied the other pumpkins. Then picked one off the end and put it in his lap. He continued playing with those so I put the other three back and returned to X. I put the two he had picked back up on the side of the cart and asked him which he wanted. He grabbed them both. So I tried to take one away and he yelled in protest...so he got two. Yeah we spoil him already. :) This was just really cute and maybe you had to be there to enjoy it.
Matt and I picked ours and came home to carve. But I was so so tired. X hadn't slept well at all. I ended up falling asleep before we got the chance. I ended up carving mine the next day and Matt still hasn't carved his...but here are some pictures of X enjoying the pumpkins.

Happy Halloween! I'll post more next week after Halloween. Oh by the way X is going to be a Penguin! He is so freaking CUTE!!!!
